Thread is totally pointless until 10 games.

This thread was started in February -  after Bruce's 19th game in charge.

I know 4 promotions do not lie but I really struggle to see how he did them playing this way consistently

It's the old problem - who would do a better job and is available and would be up or the challenge ?

I don't like that bloke who managed at the sty and is managing Derby at the mo, but I'd be more confident of promotion with him in charge.

Let's judge Brucie after 10 games or so ( as said above) mind you ... this is one tough division and it's never going to be plain sailing, what with FFP as a major hindrance too.

Aitor Karanka is still available isn't he?  Bruce needs to be given some time, though exactly how much time is questionable.

Just been reading a HCFC forum and thought this was interesting, if not a little worrying!

"It was interesting listening to Brucey's remarks after the game. Saying Villa created a lot of chances, but like last season they didn't take them. The same problems we had when he was with us, making a lot of chances but not scoring enough goals. A similar pattern emerging with his style it appears."

"Really? I didn't think we created many chances under Bruce. That was our biggest problem. Everything was down the wings with Robbo or mainly Elmo, big punts into the box from anywhere within range. We rarely put the ball on a plate for our forwards, they always had a big job trying to finish the scraps we gave them."

Just for a bit of balance/context, isn't Bruce Hull's most successful boss ever?

no one should be calling for Bruce to be sacked after the first game of the season because he should have -

1 never been appointed in the first place
2 gone after the Barnsley  humiliation
3 gone at the end of last season disaster

I personally would have gone with option 1 but whatever the choice we shouldn't still be fucking about with a manager who's delivered nothing for near on a year getting

I'm aware of this, however unti 10 games are played this thread is laughable.

Do you think that any suggestion of potting Di Matteo until ten games of last season has been played was laughable as well?

We have played one game.

The number of games we have played wasn't my question.

We have played one game.
And that one game showed all of the flaws, and shortcomings that have been obvious for many, many months.

We have played one game.
We may have only played one game but there are genuine reasons for concern. Like how can we end up playing Chris Samba as a centre forward after we've spent nearly 40 million quid on strikers? And having watched the goals from Saturday again I'm gobsmacked as to how long Hull's goalscorer was left completely unmarked until the ball finally reached him? Watch it again it's shocking. What are they doing at Bodymoor Heath all week?

This should be good.
