I would imagine quite a few becoming available in the next week or two.

Well the managerial merry-go-round has started...Moyes has resigned. If Moyes can do it...then you can too Bruce! ;)
And so Sunderland steal an early march on us. Depressing.

In what way have they stolen a march on us?
First shots at available managers.

We don't have a vacancy.

What I think will fall on Bruce's favour is the shite teams dropping this season. Boro will lose their only half decent players and don't have a manager. Hull will probably need one as well as Silva will be in demand. There isn't huge quality in that squad. Sunderland are a joke. They also need a new boss and will lose Defoe who single handedly kept them up for a couple of seasons.

So we fire a manaager in case a few other managers become available?

I know you know what I mean, can't be arsed. You want Bruce to stay, I don't, but that's a different matter.

Sounds like a plan.

Which is not going to happen.

Sunderland are the very epitome of us 12 months ago.  Despicably bad on the field, a totally disinterested owner off it, no Manager and a very shit squad.  They in my opinion will finish where we did this season.

Probably worse because there's little chance of a new owner and the big spending we did.  Hull look just as bad and Boro don't look likely to be challenging at the top either.  That's why there really can't be any excuses, the quality in the league is definitely lower than last season.

I feel it's worse at Sunderland. They've been decaying from the outside in for longer than we have and nothing seems likely to change that. A double dip is on the cards.

Middlesbrough's chairman reckons they're going to "smash" the championship

Spurs have scored more goals than Boro have in 2017 in the past two away games.

I think they'll do alright and make the Play Offs but they're nothing to be concerned about.

Sunderland are screwed and I wouldn't be surprised to see them drop straight through. One thing in our favour next season is that we have actually signed some of the best Championship players. The team hasn't clicked yet (the reasons why have long been debated this season) but with a good pre-season and if Bruce can develop a consistent style of play to suit the squad, then in theory we could (or should) be right up there challenging.
