I think my concern is that we've seen no obvious improvement in performances. If we want to go up we need to dominate games, we're nowhere near that. Bruce doesn't even seem to know how to use players he's signed.
We're going backwards, actually.

Finishing bottom half is very very poor considering where we were even a few weeks back after beating QPR.

I try to defend him but in reality he's not finished much higher than RDM probably would've done.

I just don't think the board are that desperate for a change, pressure right on from the first game next season though.

6 years since we didn't have to wait for page 2 to load on Ceefax to see our final league position.

13th. 31 points off second place. -1 Goal difference. Big failure by RDM and Bruce.

This league is more about making fewer mistakes than the opposition. That's what I've learnt possibly these past 9 months and you look at who has gone up automatically and the way they play; rigid, game management driven football.

Brighton second, wow.

People can't even say they'd switched off either. You could see how.much they wanted to win the league with how many were on their arse crying. They were shite.

The most impressive side I've seen this season are Fulham.

I think you're probably right. Mind you they were shocking at Villa Park.

They weren't impressive at their ground when we played them either.

Yes, but they're this season's side that came from nowhere, as one always does. If they'd started better they'd be seeing Newcastle in their mirrors.

I think the best team I saw down VP were Wolves, second half anyway.

I just don't see the point - continuity for continuity's sake, really. Yes, I know he's had to deal with various things: not having a midfield for ages, new signings bedding in, and then everyone going off to the beach for the last month or so. I wasn't exacting expecting or looking for champagne football either, just something which would suggest that we would be capable of constantly grinding out wins.

Big summer ahead for us - if Dr X pulls the trigger  on Brucie it has to be now, not after a dozen games has passed next season and yet more money spent.  With Hogan looking like he's never going to produce in a Villa shirt, we need two strikers in for sure.
