We're still shit, and that's why we're not on the telly on Sunday, Wankers.

I couldn't care less that we're not on the telly. We know we're shit, it took us 7 years to get where we are now. It ain't gonna change over night.

It's great that we're not on the telly - we usually have a mare when we are.

It needs to change pretty sharpish or we can write off next season as well.

He's got to have a full season at least, in my opinion. He's got a damn good record when it comes to getting teams out of this league so it'd be daft to get rid and start all over again. And remember the state of this club last year after 7 years of sabotage. We were rock bottom, and when you're as low as we were nothing is gonna change overnight no matter how much we want it to.

You raise a valid point in that we were rock bottom at the end of last season.  However, very few were willing to give RDM much of a chance, regardless of your last point.  Why was that?  Were we so arrogant that we though it should have been a cakewalk, RDM was massively under achieving and the play-offs were still easily achievable.  With hindsight, did we jump the gun.

I just don't think RDM was a good fit, and I don't rate him as a manager anyway despite the Champions League win. Mind you whoever took over last summer had an immense job on his hands considering the state of the club.

"I didn't like RDM so he didn't deserve a chance but people who don't like Bruce need to give him a chance because I like him".

That's about the jist of it as far as I can tell.

Yeah that's about right. Decisions are made based on opinions.

Do we really have to hang on to him into next season and only sack him once promotion becomes an unachievable target?

We can all see it, but what chance Xia and Wyness identifying Bruce as part of the problem and doing something about it in the summer?

Why is it that coaches look half decent when we recruit them, but within a few weeks of being appointed at Villa they start doing all kinds of bizarre shit, picking donkeys and generally being turd?

It's a different  one. I like Bruce as a person, he's the least irritating manager we've had for years but he clearly will never get us promoted. He doesn't seem to have any idea of how to play with tempo and seems out a of touch with what the Championship is all about now.

It won't happen but really Xia should get rid of him at the end of the season. Instead he'll stick with him but be forced to say goodbye in November/December.

And so we start again with a new manager and another season wasted. The pattern is likely to be repeated until Xia gets bored and the reset button is pressed.

I'm as sure as I can be that if Steve Bruce is our manager on the opening day of next season we won't end it as a PL club. Today was a fucking abomination of a performance. Still, for 25th time this season Bruce will say we were poor, need to pass the ball better. Yeah Steve, apart that's what we've been paying you a small fortune to get them doing.

I've defended him a lot but today was abject - and it's been abject since day 1 frankly. As PWS said, we will not be a PL club in summer 2018 if he stays.

Sorry Bruce, your time is up.
