I'm actually surprised at how badly it's gone with him. I didn't expect miracles, or interesting football, or even the playoffs this season (although that goal was the clearest reason for appointing him); but I did expect basic competence, mid-table boredom at least, a slight feeling of philosophical ennui (is promotion more important than enjoying the style? What is an 'achievement' anyway? etc).
I did not, however, expect to be worrying about League One, to have not scored a goal since before Noah's fucking Flood, to have become the laughing stock of the division for a second year running. And make no mistake - we might not be bottom by miles like last year, but with out stature and spending the current position is laughable, and fans who weren't happy with our money-flaunting are well within their rights to laugh.
Something has to give, and very soon.
