I'm actually surprised at how badly it's gone with him. I didn't expect miracles, or interesting football, or even the playoffs this season (although that goal was the clearest reason for appointing him); but I did expect basic competence, mid-table boredom at least, a slight feeling of philosophical ennui (is promotion more important than enjoying the style? What is an 'achievement' anyway? etc).

I did not, however, expect to be worrying about League One, to have not scored a goal since before Noah's fucking Flood, to have become the laughing stock of the division for a second year running. And make no mistake - we might not be bottom by miles like last year, but with out stature and spending the current position is laughable, and fans who weren't happy with our money-flaunting are well within their rights to laugh.

Something has to give, and very soon.

Once you stop believing your players can win it's time to go.  He looks like a dead man walking and shell shocked

Rather than do a reset after 1 game, you can now change your vote. Click on "Remove Vote" and then place your new vote.

At the time I did this the vote was
Yes: 82 (23.6%)
No: 170 (48.9%)
3 More games: 96 (27.6%)

I will be sticking with my "Yes".

Cant be bothered to say the usual nice things about him. Its over and has been for a few games now. We move on and look for a manager who fits us. God knows who that person is but Bruce is in that "villa tailspin" that we all know our managers simply cannot recover from.

Time to change.

Hard to believe it could get worse after the trauma of last season but if get nothing from the next two games at home, I don't think he can survive.

I have always been very patient when it come to changing managers and it is unbelievable that it's only 4 or 5 weeks since he brought in almost a whole new team -but the last few games have seen the life completely drain out of this club once again.

Personally i think those who voted no should stay stigmatised with a potato emoji next to their names as a warning to others ;)

We've now got two winnable home games, six points expected. Four accepted and one or less and I wouldnt think he can survive.

The last 3 goals we have conceeded have been fucking wretched, I thought one of the pluses on hiring Steve Bruce was that that kind of thing rarely happened.

Totally agree. The 1975 result should have been binding.
