We did the stability thing of sticking with losing managers and they carried on losing and things got progressively worse.

Are we that stupid that we'd continue to back a losing manager indefinitely just for the sake of so called stability.

We don't need stability, we need a good manager, who doesn't panic at the size of the job and pressures, with a good grasp of how he wants to play football, who signs players who fit his idea and drills them in that way.

I don't think we've deserved to lose any of the last three games.

I agree with something SHQ said about poor planning leaving us with nowt up top when ACON hit and we lost momentum against Cardiff and then Spurs and Wolves.

With a bit more confidence we'd have put some of the chances away against Forest and Ipswich and tonight. It's fine margins.

Newcastle game may suit us where, for once, the onus isn't on us to attack.

I think as poor as the run is, we will turn it around.

I tend to judge managers if seven games is the longest they go without a win. I know it's illogic I'm sure Wenger Morhino Benitez may have gone on longer winless runs but something tells me they haven't.I long for continuity but not at any price Senior Management must have a plan B I'm falling of the fence he has to go.

If we lose against the Geordies and Derby, Xia is going to have to be made of steel to resist the tidal wave of discontent that will come from the fans baying for Bruce's head. Xia needs the fanbase more than he needs Bruce.

Lets have a recap since O'Neill jumped ship

We've changed managers numerous times = No change in fortune
We've changed coaching staff numerous times = No change in fortune
We've changed the badge on the shirt = No change in fortune
We've changed the entire playing staff numerous times = No change in fortune
We've changed the owner = No change in fortune

What hasn't changed ? The fragmented and at times poisonous support

How will changing Bruce change a thing ?

I'm not saying we should or shouldn't replace him, just convince me taking into account ALL the above that it would change things for the better.

We stuck with a numpty like Lambert - fucking horrendous football.  Sooner or later we HAVE to appoint a decent manager.

Endlessly changing manager hardly ever works. I like Bruce and want it to work out for him, but he looks to me like he's utterly fucking lost the plot.

I am now increasingly concerned we are going to get relegated.

Give him until the summer to save his job. The season is gone. If there happens to be a top manager around looking for work and a big paycheck then go for it, but otherwise I don't think anyone remotely decent will want to come in late feb, to a side stuck in no mans land in the championship. We're not woeful enough to go down, and the bottom 3 aren't good enough to make up that gap (thankfully), so we won't go down.

I think there will be better managers available in May. And I most certainly don't want some pisspot caretaker prick like Black again.

Agreed.

Yep I'd agree he doesn't seem to understand why we're failing. We are in another downward spiral.

I am not having a pop as I respect your fair mindedness about him but I would also note I dont think we deserved to win a couple of Bruces wins either.

Regardless IMHO as someone else just said (cant find the post) we are just too negative. One of the only (perhaps THE only) positive of Sherwood is at least he would go for it. Bruce fits in the mold of all our other recent managers in that he just gets more and more negative.

I don't know why it happens but it does. IS there any evidence Bruce is going to change us into a free flowing attacking team? I dont think so, I dont think its in his DNA. Sadly.

Its a FUCK OFF from me.

The players we almost unanimously said were great signings just a few weeks ago ?

The ones that were doing exactly what we wanted them to do for us for their old clubs ?

Talk about a swift rethink

I don't know what the answer is but signing better players than we had seemed fairly logical to me
