10 wins 0 draws and 5 defeats suggests boom or bust football from Sheffield United.

They may well be the team who stays the course like Huddersfield. I suspect both they and Bristol will find it harder February on than say ourselves, Wolves or Boro with our bigger squads.
To quote the Director of Better Yes exactly yes.

One thing though - I'd rather get promoted with our attitude that we'll need a complete overhaul and even then we'll probably struggle than the Wolves belief of next stop Champions League.

Crikey, yes. One of my managerial cohorts got talking football after some work stuff earlier. He has just bought a half season ticket at Wolves. Why (he never normally goes down there even though he is a fan and lives locally)?

"I had to get in now to make sure I can keep my seat in the Premier League next season. And now we are the second richest club in the world after Man Citeh, I wouldn't to not be there if we won the Premier League".

Wolves fans are, to a man, mental. The first sign of even minor success and they just presume world domination follows.

Bruce will never win 7 in 8 with us.

Draw 7 in 8? Maybe. But win? No way.

He did last season you plonker, look at the 8 prior to Burton away last season lost to Huddersfield and won 3 prior to that and 4 after that, now I'm not great at maths but that is 7 wins from 8.

Please stop your hatred of Bruce getting in the way of facts.

The majority don’t seem to realise that they are just a ‘holding’ club for hawking the young players round Europe - end of the season promotion or not those that have proved themselves will be moved and the next group brought in, whether the next lot are as good is where the lottery begins.  Imagine if they ship a couple out in January to clubs still in Champions League?

They don't realise it because in their eyes they're headed that way anyway so all the players will want to stay with them.

A reasonable supposition at this point in time, I'd say.

Helped by the fact that we made them look like Brazil 1970.

To them "that way" is world domination.

From being probably the best team in Division 2 over a whole 3 months to getting in the Champions League is a hop, skip & jump Jonathan Edwards would be proud of :-)

Leicester caught the established teams out once, can’t see that being allowed to happen again.

The likes of Neves, Costa etc will already be on the radars of the big clubs and if they want them in January they will just take them if the numbers add up for Mendes.  He is a ruthless businessman and if the Wolves fans think he is emotionally involved with them they will get a rude awakening.

There is absolutely no reason to believe it can not happen again.

But there is no one bigger than them.

Is SB angling for another job?

Karren Brady at the weekend said a couple of the former managers employed by her and the Porno dwarfs during their time in football were on the phone wanting the West Ham job.

Given they've employed 9 managers and some of them have been Zola, Avram Grant, Trevor Francis and Barry Fry....that narrows the field down a little bit.

That's interesting reading. 🤔

As a board, we have sacked only five managers (including Slaven) of the nine we have worked with in that quarter of a century.

And as soon as the job became available, some of our past managers were straight on the phone asking for another chance to work with us.

At the same time, I wouldn't believe a word them lot said.

I do hope Bruce is one of them and they would be very foolish not to go for him. A solid good man. A professionals choice been there done it it all type.
