I am sticking by my prediction September will be good enough to keep him in a job, because we are playing poor teams.
Watch the weeks come off in October.

You mean the poor sides we have consistently failed to beat since 2010?

We haven't consistently played and failed to beat poor Championship sides week after week since 2010 though have we?

I'm sure if we'd have had the opportunity we'd have given it our best effort.

Absolutely. There's no denying that we've been pretty much consistently shite since 2010.

Well, we've stuck with him and whatever happens, i'm glad we did. I thought personally it was the right thing to do. So far this season anyway, fair play to him.

He's done the bare minimum so far.

Even after our good run it's worth reminding we're still not actually in the top 6.

It's good we're in contention but October will tell us how far up the promotion race we'll be I think.

We're a Hogan jump away from being third.

We're a Hogan jump away from being third.

Automatic promotion was my target at the start of the season, not play off lottery.

We still have a bit to go on that front I think. At least we're putting away the poorer teams in the league now which is a promising sign.

Next step is to outplay and beat a promotion rival home or away. I have the feeling SB will go in with a defensive mindset at Wolves though particularly as we'll be without our first choice left back.

We're 4 points off it. We'd be a point if Hogan could jump. We've recovered from a blip at the start and we're starting to put results together.

I feel Breyer than I did this time last year.  I can relax in Sorrento now.

Literally small margins...but we'd be 2pts off if he'd hurdled Hourihanes goal bound shot.

We still need to win the next 3 games before we hit the average of 2pts per game.

We've not played any of our expected rivals, Middlesbrough aside, so winning the last four games was a minimum requirement after our poor start. Next month will give us a good indication as to how equipped we are to challenge for the top two.
Keeping Adomah and Kodjia fit and in-form is key. They are our two livewires who opponents are scared of. Without them, and Jack to a degree, we're just too pedestrian and likely to rack-up a load of draws.

Even with both Adomah and Kodjia on the pitch, we are still subjected to Bruce-ball even against one of the worst teams in the Championship so I'll be approaching October with hope rather than expectation.

Haven't seen the Redknapp interview but was it an attempt to deflect any criticism heading his way by betraying a fellow manager's confidential phone call?

I'd expect nothing less from old Harry. A gobshite of the highest other. The nonsense he constantly comes out with is beyond tiresome. Hopefully he'll remain an ex manager from now on.

As for Bruce, my feeling all along has been that you can only beat what's in front of you. It'd be nice to win every game with lots of goals, but I'll take a 3-0, 2-1, 4-0 and a 1-0 in four games any time. The championship has proved harder than we imagined, but we are doing a lot better than last season, results wise, and onwards to Molineux we go. They're beatable, as are we. I think it's a nailed on draw, but we could certainly sneak it when we have players like Kodjia, and a decent defence.

I think Preston is the hardest match this coming month. My prediction is that we'll draw with Wolves and Preston, whilst beating Fulham and that horrid lot down the road.
