Our squad was far stronger last season.

Our squad was far stronger last season.

I don't necessarily disagree with you Legion, but before I agree, I would like to see this squad settle down for a couple of months because I think they might be as strong.  Defensively, no question, thanks to Terry, who I think is now cooked, but was certainly good last year.  Johnstone over Nyland, although the latter needs time.  Abraham is better than Grabban though, El Ghazi over Snoddy, not so sure.  I think our midfield is better but hasn't clicked in to gear yet.

We're stronger with pace and forwards.

We're weaker at centre half.

I think Nyland will be alright in the end.

Hutton - ? - Chester - Elmo

That's 3/4 of last year's back four. Tuanzebe needs coaching on his aerial strength, but he'd be better suited learning about playing consistently at centre half.

put an experienced cb in and it wouldn't be that bad at all. This is Bruce's defining week - three eminently winnable games. Seven points minimum or goodbye

I think we have certainly got more midfield and attacking options than last season.  I have criticised Bruce's squad management, but McGinn has done well so far and El Ghazi, Bolasie and Abraham should be decent additions.  The back four and goalkeeper recruitment (or lack of it), however, looks questionable at the moment.

Another Friday another Bruce, stage managed press conference. I'm bored of them. They're usually the same sh-t regurgitated. Real questions pinning Bruce's thoughts down over players, selections, formations won't be asked.
Going through the motions isn't good enough anymore from Bruce.

I cant decide just yet whether or not the squad is stronger than last season.

With Bruce in charge I don't think it really matters.
I don't think he could get in the top 6 of the premier league with Manchester Cities squad.

Just caught it on YouTube.
It was every bit as predictable as you would expect.

This division gives you the opportunity to play another game quickly- but he was moaning about too many a couple of weeks ago.
The new owners have breathed new life..........blah,blah,blah.
We lost 6 players and the most of a good team....had to start all over again....blah, blah, blah.

A new one though....Now we are only on the cusp of FFP, not mired in it as he told the world in the summer.

His interviews are as predictable as his football.

Moaning about what's said at a routine press conference is well into the realms of For The Sake of It.

Why watch something you find boring and predictable and then bore everybody else with a boring and predictable moan about just how boring and predictable it all was.

Has anything interesting ever been said during a pre-game press conference, by anyone?
