Steve Bruce done well to turn it round. Don't think we should axe him yet. What we need to keep improving and then get a system which us play beautiful football, control the game with possession, increase more chances, and score more goals and keep more clean sheet. Then go for promotion full blast next season. Keep the good form going as we might sneak in promotion via play off if there are lot of freak results however unlikely.

What I don't want to see is massive turnover of players, just get rid of players like Richards and Agbonlahor then replace them. Just 1 central half, a striker, a powerful midfielder and a goalkeeper.

This. Those two clowns need to be bombed out, whatever the financial cost to the club.

Then four key signings and hopefully we start the season on the front foot and never leave the top two.

I am very much on the fence over Bruce.  Some of his decisions so far have 100% baffled me, e.g. Agbonlahor.

Whilst it is great to see some 3 points being  regularly struck up, apart from Sheff Wed these have been achieved against poorer teams in the division or at the expense of Derby who were themselves on a downer and probably should have got something  from their visit.

It will only be  next season once he has tinkered with the squad in the summer will we really know if  Stevie  Bruce is the real deal or not.

He was on football focus yesterday and he basically said it's shit or bust next season i.e. if we don't look like going up he will be gone. He sounded very confident in himself that he will achieve promotion next season

I can see one of two possible outcomes for Bruce.

1.  He doesn't get us promoted next season, in which case he gets sacked.
2.  He does get us promoted next season, and then we have a relegation struggle and he gets sacked the following season.

The future's so bright!

Most promoted teams end up in a relegation battle the following season so it doesn't really matter who is on charge.  If we ever consolidate then a managerial change would of course be needed.

If you got us third and losing the playoff final on pens or something he'd probably be given another crack.

Next season it will be promotion or bust for Bruce. He's on his second and final chance right now.

My main reason for persevering with Bruce is that it will give Round and the team behind the scenes a chance to build something meaningful and somewhat focused.  Every new manager just means a transitional period and shed loads of wasted cash.

I see Cesare Prandelli is still holding out for the Villa job having turned down Leicester. He can but dream.

If he double that over a season and remove 1 draw and 1 defeat to make it 46 games it would be 85 points in total. That should be good for promotion I think but not sure about championship points need.
