Ah, saying a win 'doesn't count' for whatever reason. That's a good one. I'd missed that one (I suppose because we haven't had that many wins to ignore in the last few years).

I'm surprised we were awarded the 3 points bearing in mind it was only Rotherham.

I'm surprised we didn't get awarded a point or two from last nights game considering how well we played

I'm surprised you're surprised

I'm surprised that you're surprised that he's surprised.

Well, I started really following the Villa when I lived away. It kept me in touch with Brum and it was a real comfort to me. Despite getting disillusioned with football generally and Villa specifically ( not because of the poor results, we have no God given right to be any good, but because of the utter idiots running us) H and V was a little oasis that kept my spirits up. Then, for no reason whatever, Clampy decided to have a go at me over absolutely nothing. A bit of fun and I end up being called an idiot by a fellow fan. Well, that was the last straw. I have not looked at a single result or come on here once since. My life has been the better for it. I thought I'd come back and see how we're doing. I see it's same old same old on and off the pitch and Clampy still sniping. So, reaffirmed in my opinions, I'm off to delete my account.

Sorry, Dave, can't see how to delete my account. If I call you a cock and then say, 'I suppose you'll ban me for that', can I be banned, please. Oh, and thanks for ten broadly good years, Dave.

Even WM thought we played well Quinton! (Think about that for a moment WM thought we played well and were the better side!) ......and they also said repeatedly that Huddersfield fans were getting rattled because they weren't getting every decision they screamed for - so maybe that plays into their 'worst team' narrative.

For my part I have seen Huddersfield fans on Twitter saying we were the best they'd seen up there this season and we're in a false league position - so it is not just in watching the game itself that we all see different things!

Well, that escalated slowly over a period of mature reflection and consideration!

That'll be Clampy, one of the, if not the, most consistently upbeat and optimistic posters on here, being accused of sniping????

I only listened to the game last night and it is difficult to get a true impression.  From the radio it sounded as though we were on top in the first half and created a couple of chances.  From just listening you cannot judge whether we were on top because we were playing well or whether it was due to them starting poorly.

Second half it sounded as though we never got going and once they scored, we never looked likely to get back into the game.

The problem we have is that we cannot step up our game and it's something that Bruce has to address.  Confidence drops when we go behind, most likely due to the players not thinking we have goals in the team to get back into it.  If you score regularly, players believe they can get a goal back and the intensity doesn't drop.  Does Bruce have it in him to modify his approach to the game to overcome this.
