our record is terrible up there...was it that infamous dyer/bowyer game when we last won?

Pretty sure we've only won there twice since Sky invented the game and both times they had someone sent off.

1-0 with Shearer sent off and 3-0 with Steven Taylor sent off for Oscar-winning handball on the line and Dyer and Bowyer dismissed for recreating Raging Bull.

I didn't go to Newcastle when we got stuffed 3 - 0 in 1975. I got married that day.
That went tits up as well.

1280 sold. Only sold 180 in a few days. That Forest game would have put a lot of people off, that was the final straw and effectively ended our season.

On sale to all season ticket holders from 5pm today so doesn't look like we'll sell out the initial 2200 imo.

I think it's a good turnout personally. As for the Forest game putting people off, I think the fact that it's a  Monday night game on telly would have done that if anything.

Yeah, I think the Rotherham match will be a better indicator of any drop in interest.

Birmingham Mail giving publicity to Newcastle blogs that have written a piece slating our 'embarrassing support' for the uptake of tickets for this game. Those Newcastle fans are more obsessed with us than the Albion aren't they? Still salty over us relegating them twice.

I think we'll sell out every game now after the Newcastle one. That was never going to sell out on a Monday night.

The comments under those articles are about 90% telling the writers to get over it. Most of their supporters are the same as ours - couldn't care less and faintly embarrassed by such a manufactured rivalry.
