Johnstone
Bree
Amavi
Chester
Baker
Thor
Angela
Hourihane
Adomah
Grealish
Kodjia

That'd be my team too.

With a bench of;

Bunn
Elphick
Green
Ayew
Lyden

Bjarnason and Adomah have a similar track record in terms of playing a lot of games for lower level teams.

That happens for a reason and on that basis I see them struggling to get into the team long term.

Useful back up only.

I've  just read that hourihane is more of a holding midfielder than id thought:

I don’t think he’s this box-to-box midfielder that everyone touts him as. He just sits infront of the back four and breaks up play. He makes decisive passes and creates from deep.

I'm not sure how true that is. He's scored one in four over the past two and a half seasons, which is a decent haul for a midfielder. In fact, in the last two seasons he's equalled or exceeded our top goalscorer (not hard to do, I'll admit).

MC what did you read and where.
I know he is not a holding midfielder .
In his own words in first  interview he states he all rounder  and gets involved in creative and goals. He can play holding but he ain't a simple  deep lying playmaking he's action forward thinking player  who will be getting into the box. And shooting from outside area 25 /30 yards out.
I be interested to know where you read and if you could quote it Matt Collins .

Out of bunn gollini and Johnstone, from what I've seen of them, I'd try to persevere with Johnstone til the end of the season and re-assess then. Hopefully with a beefed up midfield, we might score a few more goals and there will be less pressure for clean sheets and maybe less attacking pressure from opposing sides.

                                        Johnstone
Bree                Chester                     Baker         Amavi
                                     Jedink
               Lansbury                      Hourhane
Adomah                                                         Jack
                                  Kodjia

Would do 4-4-2 at home but will wait for the second striker

It was in the Birmingham mail - I think from a local Barnsley journalist

I still would like to see a centre half come in as I am not convinced Baker is the rock that everyone thinks he is now, I do think he has improved, but he still dives in to rashly and his injury record isn't brilliant

And just because there is a song about him now doesn't mean he should be a starter!!!

We are a lower level team, people keep forgetting this. We've just been turned over by Cardiff and Wolves
