I sat three rows back when Clinton Woods won at Sheffield Arena, sat in the gods for Hatton at the same venue and Kell Brook was somewhere in between. I've enjoyed it each time, though there is something about being up close, you can really hear the force of punches land. God knows how they take the punishment to be fair.

We sat about 6 rows back when Calzaghe fought Peter Manfredo Jr at the Millennium. To be fair, the whole thing was really a trial run for him fighting Kessler the next year, but as you say you really get a different experience being that close.

We sat up in the stands for the Kessler fight, and to be honest we'd have been better off watching at home.

kevin McCauley gets his 14th win. He's only lost 154.

The news from Walsall on Saturday night was absolutely dreadful and at the same time, sadly inevitable.

Incredible record.  I started to count how many fights he'd lost or drawn in his longest winless streak, but got bored at 60 and gave up.

Wasn't sure whether to pay to see the Joshua fight and now he's got a change of opponent, even less sure.

Apparently the Pulev fight was £19.95 on Sky Sports Box Office so can only presume the Takam fight is not free on Sky Sports?

edit:
Joshua vs Takes is still full price on Sky Sports Box Office:

Thirty seconds into the David Haye promotion and I want to silence the presenter.

Me neither.  A Joshua-level prospect would have won inside four.

Indeed, I thought he seemed to lack snap in his punches and he also seemed to get caught far too easily.
