Hurrah, boxer wins a fight by trying to fight, while other guy loses by not fighting. A poor fight but I'm glad Parker won.

Me too, people seemed genuinely shocked, but having watched the fight Fury did feck all to actually win a round. Walking backwards and forwards for 36 minutes should not be considered great boxing, he did everything to not get hit, which i get, but threw bugger all back himself, and when he did it was all to counter. Glad the judges saw through it. Difference between that and the Tyson win was Klitscho did not have any of the aggression Parker showed tonight in that fight.

Haha, that tactic worked for Sven Ottke's entire career - with one small difference, he ran away for 12 rounds and got the typical German hometown decision.  But anyway, I also agree and didn't think Fury did enough to win the title.

It looks like we might get a couple of reasonably close fights tonight.

How close to the ring is your seat?

Not very, I believe I'll be watching the screen above the ring!

It's strange, as it always is to be watching something live that you usually only see on TV. It'll be brighter than you expect and a lot noisier. Sam Eggington's fighting so there'll be a bit of local interest. The one difference between live and watching on TV is that there's no gaps between the fights - a lot of the four rounders take place when the interviews and build-up are on so make sure you know the running order as a fight you fancy watching might be earlier than you expect.

We're going in when the pretty much doors open so we can watch the whole thing, all my mates have been before so they'll lead the way in what time we go in etc. Apart from the main event I don't know any of the undercard so if theres any I should watch out for let me know? I take it its expensive inside the arena for beers and food?

I'm really looking forward to it, I watch a lot of boxing on the telly and it looks like a great atmosphere.h

Enjoy your evening. I've always enjoyed watching it on the tv.

Eggington looked poor, seemed to lack energy & ideas.

Young Benn has some power albeit early days...let’s hope he is the better of the sons of....

The view from my seat was actually superb. I was expecting to have to watch the screens above the ring. The atmosphere wasn't as good as I thought it would be but overall it was a great experience. Sam Eggington wasn't great last night which was a bit of a let down, but Crolla boxed well.

Pretty much everyone in the arena were Yanited fans, having to listen U-N-I, T-E-D all night got tedious

The way boxing encourages football supporters is getting tedious. One day there'll be a serious riot at a show and who'da thought it?

If they set up the pride of Manchester fight between crolla (united) and Flanagan (city) there will be serious disorder. There was bits and bobs kicking off in the stands tonight.

God help Birmingham if a villa fan starts coming through

I was ringside for Hatton v Tszyu and that was great. I was sat next to Amir Khan''s Dad. Sam Allardyce was shitfaced in the bar beforehand.

I sat three rows back when Clinton Woods won at Sheffield Arena, sat in the gods for Hatton at the same venue and Kell Brook was somewhere in between. I've enjoyed it each time, though there is something about being up close, you can really hear the force of punches land. God knows how they take the punishment to be fair.
