The fact that he changes it up for different opposition and picks unpopular players suggest Bruce has a plan for each game, which is a bit of a novelty for us.

We all have said Bruce knows this league and I am sure swapping and changing personnel and formations is part and parcel of it. He must have watched dirty Leeds and thinks 442 is the answer.
Love the fact we have great options from the bench other than centre half.

Elphick worries me every time he plays.

It won't be 442 though - adomah and kodjia on the wings in a 433

Definitely looks 433 to me with Kodija on left. Bruce is definitely a manager with a preference for keeping a squad of players hungry for a realistic place in the team over keeping a balanced team.

Would agree with three in the middle tonight away to Leeds but can't fathom Gestede ahead of Grealish. Bruce will factor that Hutton hasn't done enough to get dropped. A lot of competition for places even on the bench.

There aren't many who would have picked that 11 tonight but it's one built for a scrap. Likely to finish the game with a better side than the one starting.

Grrr...Gardner seems to be anonymous when he is paired with Westwood.
Maybe Bruce is saving Grealish and Bacuna for impact subs , but why start so weak?

Looks like 4-1-4-1 that worked well for Bruce early games...but that was with an energetic duo (Gardner, Bacuna) in front General Jedinak.
Westwood in front of Elphick and Hutton....thats alot of weakness for Mile Jedinak to cover on our right flank.

Are we super-sizing the images now - is that the thing now, is it?
It is embedded normally on my phone. Are you using a Nokia 3100? ;-)

Looking back, I wonder how many times we've seen and immediately disagreed with Steve's line-up?

Maybe he wants to subject Grealish to less than 45 minutes of being kicked around, giving him just enough time to score one, set up two, and get two of the ****** sent off.

Most games to be fair

Mind you I think we were right against Blackburn at least

Grealish injured in a training ground collision with Steer (?) apparently - hence Sarkic and Grealish on bench

Ah Bunn not Steer

Thankfully it looks like Bunn came off worse!
