Our place doesn't charge a penny when booking in person or over the phone unless you want tickets posting in which case there is a charge of £1.50. A lot of people use our website to book online where there is a charge of £1.75 to cover the cost of being able to book online as we incur a charge each time somebody uses it. Even if you book 100 tickets the charge is only £1.75. Booking fees, admin fees etc are a fucking rip off.

To be fair, I've bought all my tickets off Seatwave this season, even when you add the extra charges, its still cheaper than direct from the club

That's not the point. When you buy something costing £12 you should expect to pay £12, not £22.

If the ticket was £12 I'd expect to pay around £15/16 with add ons - so what has changed between now and last month when I used Seatwave to get Blackburn tickets, and more to the point why ? We need to have answers.

We got answers. Laughable ones, but we got them.

I do it in reverse got a cheap season and just sell on the games I can't attend works out cost wise £13 per game   All ticket brokers are robbers so no shock there with their responses. Definitely sometime to take up the villa though

That may well become more expensive if Seatwave's new pricing structure means you can't sell your ticket any more.

So the reason appears to be "because we can".

But you're not just buying something for £12, you're buying something for £12 and a service. A service that includes somebody manning the help desk! It's a business not a charity!

Thanks Dave. What a pathetic reply from the club that smacks of arrogance. I expected to pay £17 max on a seatwave ticket of £12. I'm finding I'm making more and more financial decisions where my club is concerned. I feel a sudden change in policy and pricing may have more to do with the club wanting to sell their own tickets on seatwave which funnily enough are advertised in batches of 10 and are offered at 99p delivery and handling!!! I feel they are trying to discourage people buying season ticket exchanges and tickets that they have already sold once.

I dont know if this is part of the new culture but when I tried to upgrade my sons season ticket to an adult one for the match on Saturday the Ticket Office tried to charge me a £2 booking fee. When I commented that this was not justified and that I wasn't 'booking' anything just enhancing the existing season ticket the fee was waived.
To add balance however I was not charged an entry fee into the Holte Suite which I have not used for some time which was a nice surprise, but then it did seem that the cost of food had increased. The room was packed so I dare say its popularity has not lessened.

Five pounds ninety-nine to send a ticket or two via the post is almost as bad as the Villa online shop wanting fifteen pounds to send me a Villa key ring (not including the price of the object).

That's your fault for living in France.

When I just checked it's still £9.98 total fees for the Witton Lane tickets the club sell on there.

I've used seateave/viagogo regularly over the past few yrs & have nearly always brought my ticket in the week before the game & collected on the day ... The cost of ticket usually drops a little & no delivery costs .
