Delph would be ideal on loan. He knows the club. Would Brucie give him a clean slate?

Wouldn't want him anywhere near the club.

No doubts we will be linked with lots of ex Bruce players but in our position,  I wouldn't mind Cattermole or Huddleston.

Huddlestone would be a mistake, we lack pace as it is in the middle, and Cattermole is just fucking shite.

We were thinking the same about Jedinak a couple of weeks ago! 😜 I wonder if we might go in for Robbie Brady. He's probably shit too though.  In fact, they're all shit. Let's keep what we've got.  Five games unbeaten after all.

Cattermole is crap and a twat. Huddlestone is okay at passing but a 30 year old fat midfielder that rarely scores and is slower than Jedinak wouldn't be top of my shopping list.

Agree PWS and we don't need that type of midfielder anyway.  We need a bit of mobility and energy in there and seeing as we are going memory lane with Delph, Ian Taylor and Lee Hendrie would be exactly the type of midfielders we need.

I think we were linked with him a while back when he was at Charlton, but Dale Stephens at Brighton seems to be attracting a lot of interest.  Not sure he would leave Brighton for us at this point, but I think that is the type of player we should be looking at.

yes but his heart belongs to B6 as everyone knows

There might be a bit more to his exit story than people think

Wasn't it being suggested that Fox was keen to cash in on him for a finish?

Seriously, he was offered the chance to triple his wages at the world's richest club, who are at the top end of the table and in the Champions League. There's really no need to imagine subterfuge behind the scenes at Villa to explain his departure.

No problem with his decision to go there, I just still can't work out why he behaved the way and said the things he did.

Ben watson watford Darren Gibson from Everton honest bruce type players and aron Lennon and callum McMahonon  all for midfield / wide competition.
Throw in loan of nugent  and Grabban up front for cover of players on African nations got decent and capable set of players .
All not getting game time and all would benefit from moving and are good enough at championship level

Now or never for Jay Spearing and Leon Osman.

Spearing not good enough at championship level relegated with Bolton
osman could be decent but fear a little old. I prefer Lennon and Gibson hungry players wanting some action from premier league clubs.

From hull  Bruce old club I could see David Meyler and Maloney come as neither playing and Bruce likes both of them . Meyler solid pro add to midfield with beef and international  been unlucky with injuries in past. Bruce knows him from Sunderland then brought him to hull. I expect to see him coming over to villa and is better than Westwood maybe a deal of swaps !
Maloney knows the villa brings some creativity and flair

I would like a central midfielder with a bit of pace and strength. If they're good at cheating then that's a bonus
