Any funds we have should be used purely for midfield.

We need another defender as well.

One player I can see us going for is Cairney at Fulham. Especially with rumours we are looking for left side reinforcements. Was former player at Hull also

Not sure which teams qualified but could be losing Adomah, Ayew, Gestede and Kodjia for the ACN in January. A team minus them still looks OKish but any injuries on top and we become pretty ramshackle.

I think we have enough up top, even with Adomah, Ayew and Gestede gone. With McCormack, with Gabby fit (yeah I hate him but he could do a job), and Rushian to get a chance we still have more than most. Problem is we would have to set the formation up differently, and lack the midfielders to do it.

Need variety in midfield, pace running, and power. No idea who though. Be nice if Tsibola stepped up.

I was gong to mention him. Bruce said in his press conference before the Fulham game that he was a 'very very good player' and he did look decent against Brentford the other night. I reckon he'll bring in another centre half as well.

Benin didn't qualify and Adomah hasn't been called up by Ghana in nearly a year and a half.

and up front if we are loosing people to the ACN? - Rudy hasn't done anything since August and Gabflab shouldn't be anywhere near the first team squad.

I'm glad you brought the ACN up. Yaya Toure will be going as well, we'll probably have to get another midfielder in at the same time. I've been watching Hazard at Chelsea recently. He might fit the bill.

As long as your'e referring to Mickey Hazard we have a chance.

With Lambert snapping up Westwood for the dog heads, we'll need cover so I can see this one coming off.

I think Westwood will be off in Jan alright, getting booed coming on to the pitch for us is ridiculous

Bruce has signed Elmohamady a few times, might be available on cheap to give us cover on right

Delph if we could get him fit for the second half of the season would be ideal on loan

His ability to run with the ball from midfield would dominate the division

There's more chance of Yaya than Delph.

If Deph is available on loan there will be plenty of takers in the Premier League.

There might be a bit more to his exit story than people think

Wasn't it being suggested that Fox was keen to cash in on him for a finish?

Seriously, he was offered the chance to triple his wages at the world's richest club, who are at the top end of the table and in the Champions League. There's really no need to imagine subterfuge behind the scenes at Villa to explain his departure.
