It's 512 days and 14 matches since I last saw us win.

I worry that being quite so bad might affect our long term support. Anyone under the age of 16 has probably only known us as being a joke side breaking bad records and getting hammered.

I think it depends how long it continues. At the moment, judging by the away support, loyalty is being maintained. Several seasons in the stiffs (or worse!) and you will begin to see the drift away, I suspect.

Loyalty of this generation but I'm worried about the next generation falling to the dark side and becoming glory hunters. If you are in to football as a youngster right now there's pretty much no reason to watch or even consider us unless your old man is forcing you to.

Do you remember that they had to cancel the goal of the month competition that October because we didnt score?  Lambert was still stood at the top of that Baghdad hotel saying we were excellent.

Not claiming to be a better fan than yow alert.

I travel 400 miles round trip average for home games, pretty much the same for away games averaging it out.  I have seen 30 of the last 51 but missed two of the wins.  That works out about 6,000 miles per win.

I've got more kids than we've had wins in the last 51 games.

I've bought barrel-aged wine younger than our last away win.

My (step) grandchildren (aged 11, 8 & 7 and with no biological Villa tradition as they're up here in Staffordshire) asking me why I support a championship side.

Statistically speaking, if during the next five years we could could put together a set of results which were the precise opposite of the last five years we would most likely as not win promotion, win the Premier League, win a couple of  League Cups and FA Cups, the Champions League, the World Cup Championship, X Factor, Strictly, The Apprentice, Britains got Talent, and I'm a Villa fan get me out of here.

But not Bake Off? We need to know?
