Great to see McIllroy winning the FedEx. That's Willett, Stenson and Rory (winning the unofficial major the FedEx) that have won majors over there. Has that sort of success happened before in the US prior to a Ryder Cup?
I will struggle to catch it because I refuse to pay for Sky, although I'm staying at a mates over the weekend for the Preston game so can watch some of it there and might pull a late one in the pub on Sunday.I always see the Ryder Cup as a strike against the more boorish and garish elements of golf that comes from an element of the USA support and players. That bawling and shouting, extreme partisan approach and tribal rivalry that sometimes borders on the unpleasant(although I think it's just fine and dandy in football) has no place in a game like Golf where acting like a gentleman is still considered to be a core part of the game.In a world of instant results, everything now, no patience sport, the pace of Golf enables the tension to build slowly creeping along to the final result with all the expected twists and turns along the way, similar to a five day Test Match in cricket. Provided it all comes to the boil without any side dominating, it has no equal as far as I am concerned. I can see the USA nicking this but it will be tight and it may be the team spirit of the Europeans that sees them over the line. The States biggest problem may be of their own doing; the presence of Tiger Woods. And bestest of all? After the year we've had, cheering on a side playing under the European Flag!Right remainers? *puts thumb up*

You could do that for just the Sunday singles. Or a week's pass is £11. I'm just going to do the Sunday and listen to 5Live for the earlier matches.
The Yanks have some extra motivation thanks to this tit.
