The Noses giving it the big one behind the police vans suddenly lose their voices when the row of vans stops and there's no longer anything to "hold 'em back".

Not sure why you'd want to leave early before the whistle goes and miss the celebrations over the years.

Nothing ever happens outside the away end when both fans are out there. It always happens away if anything at all [and I put emphasis on the anything at all, as its all a lot of hot air] Clements in 2010, Garrison Lane in 93 etc.

My dads getting old. We stayed for the celebrations in 2005, 2007 and 2009.

Was thinking of 2010 when we left on 90. Could see something brewing and 2004.

That's understandable.

In 2010 we got held for ages at the top of the hill, but that's because it was Villa causing trouble by the Clements.

One of the stories about that night is a certain well known Nose coming a cropper. What a shame. Probably an urban myth though.

How many tickets did we get in 2007 and 2009, Ads?

I'm not totally sure. Somewhere between 2800 and 3000 I would imagine. Last league game in 2011 it was reduced to 1800 and all the toilets had been borded up.

They had port-a-loos underneath the stand below the concourse area.

Ads, when did you last miss a Villa game, home or away?

I'm visioning a run going back years.

The portaloos were being pushed over if I recall.

That game was two days before the Darren Bent news broke.

The Bent rumours started that same Sunday evening after the game IIRC.

I was passing The Clements towards Digbeth just as that all kicked off. A group of their Knuckle Draggers had congregated at the pub, waiting for the Villa fans who had been held back to pass by. They were definitely the instigators and I remember at least one of theirs was swinging what looked like an iron bar above his head.

I think they got more then they bargained for though as a group of Villa fans were more than happy to take up their offer. Carnage ensued, and we just got out of there to be honest.

I also later heard the rumours of one of their ex players being involved and getting hurt. No idea if true though.

I missed Moscow and the Bulgarian trip as I was but a poor post-grad at the time doing my LPC and I hadn't factored that into my loan from Natwest!

If I recall the Port-a-loos were chained together. There's no chance of our morons behaving unsupervised, so can they not put a steward or a Dibble near them so I can take a leak half time and wash my hands?

Just wash your hands in the disinfectant tray we have to walk through on the way out.

I know, after the cup game toilet destruction in 2010, Spurs were next up at the sty and had to use portaloo's....they were wrecked too.

It's funny seeing them all moaning on Twitter that 'I can't get a ticket for da Vile game!' and complaining about a capacity 'reduction' of 25k. You would think they'd be used to it, they reduce their capacity to 16k for every other game

SH Still have tickets for sale...........
