It's funny seeing them all moaning on Twitter that 'I can't get a ticket for da Vile game!' and complaining about a capacity 'reduction' of 25k. You would think they'd be used to it, they reduce their capacity to 16k for every other game.

I've got no sympathy for any noses who can't get a ticket. Most of their games this season have attracted around 16k, so their regular support will not miss out. Sod the ones who only want to turn up to have a pop at 'Da Vile'.

The fixture is dead as far as Villa fans looking  forward to it.

I remember the 70's when we took in excess of 10,000 to the Sty.  The dislike has always been there, but the hatred never as bad as today.  I would even go onto say that it was Man Ure for whom we had  a proper hatred back then.

The atmosphere was second to none even at St Andrews.  The Spring bank holiday game in 76 the first one back at St Andrews was for all intense and purposes captured a cup final atmosphere.

I think that the fans of both clubs have helped the police come to such a decision.  When you get an allocation of so few tickets it has killed the fixture.

Can  see even the Blues have placed a strict ticket policy on their own fans for what is a home game.  May as well play the game behind closed doors and broadcast the result afterwards.

I'm sure this game was played on April 3rd 1976 and I well remember getting some stick at work the following Monday.

My wedding anniversary is on 3rd April and for reason when me and Mrs Castlefields set the date back in 2003, one of the first things that came into my head was that was an anniversary of that rather hostile first away game (for us) between us and them back in the big time for 10 years.

Any coach seats going empty? I'd rather not run the gauntlet of that police 'segregation' afterwards if I can help it.

Depends on which direction you are coming from? There is parking available at £5 in industrial units along Bordesley Green and Garrison Lane. You can also park in Morrisons providing you also shop there and if you are desperate at Green Lane Mosque providing you go in and offer a prayer!

Thanks.
I'll be coming from Halesowen.

Happy to offer a prayer to anyone listening if it means we come away with the 3 points!

Me and my dad always leave our seats on the 90th minute. make our way to the back and as soon as the whistle is blown, make our way down towards Mcdonalds Island.

On your left there is an Ibis. We get in there and grab a taxi out.

The Noses giving it the big one behind the police vans suddenly lose their voices when the row of vans stops and there's no longer anything to "hold 'em back".

Not sure why you'd want to leave early before the whistle goes and miss the celebrations over the years.

Nothing ever happens outside the away end when both fans are out there. It always happens away if anything at all [and I put emphasis on the anything at all, as its all a lot of hot air] Clements in 2010, Garrison Lane in 93 etc.

Do people really get a coach to this game?
