He broke down on International Duty apparently - will be out for a while again.  Also Scott Hogan is likely to face a lengthy spell on the sidelines due to a stomach operation.

I expect Keinan and Jack to do their duty and set this League alight.

Kodija is a blow but Hogan being out Means that Bruce can’t play him, which is good news for the team.

Shit news, we now approach the busiest period of the season with one Striker, a young kid who's scored 2 goals and played a handful of games.

Stomach stapling, that should just be a few weeks.

Irrespective of the importance of the Ivory Coast game if he hasn't been fit enough to play for us he shouldn't have been allowed to join up with them - as a result we're now potentially without our main striker for weeks/months

deeply worrying, at this rate the guy is going to be missing most off the season, Bruce needs to get busy in the loan market in January especially as Hogan might not be fit enough to be sold

I think we should be careful of exaggeration.

"Kodjia was then carefully inspected by Ivory Coast medics and deemed fit enough to train ahead of the 2-0 defeat to Morocco that extinguished their World Cup hopes.

Villa subsequently had no choice but to let him travel, due to international regulations."

He's been back since September. Ivory Coast were obviously going to call him up.

Problem you have with them going to International teams is the training sessions are usually different so that's why many pick up injuries.

And the training facilities are often not as good as here. Most Premier league sides and many championship have invested fortunes in that side of things.

Is the Russian fit yet? Might finally be his time. Or we could always send for FatMac now he's banging in the goals.

Quite correct that if he is fit he has to go, but if we say he is not and we are or should have been happy to say that, he came off last time he played, then we risk him being suspended for a game if they argue about it and report us to FIFA, now we have lost him for god knows how many, he might have played on and off since September, but I think this is more a case of Bruce playing him when he is not a 100%, as he did last game with Snodgrass, typical 70's , 80's and 90's style player and managers attitude to injuries, being taken into the 21st Century.
