I think he is another one where you can see the influence of the new management team. It didn’t always come off but he was ar least trying to be a team player rather than do everything himself.

That's true, at least he looked to pass to a teammate, which is rarely his first thought. There's definitely some work being done on the training ground, so hopefully he'll improve.

I still think our best option down the left hand side going forward might be Grealish pushed on with McGinn supporting him and a flier at left back coming in in January who can get forward and get good quality in.

5 goals in 35 odd appearances since his injury, precious few assists and just gone 29.  One to flog in Jan

He played well on Friday. We can worry about improving on him in Summer, if we go up. He's a vital part of the squad at the moment.

Welcome bump !

Who needs Abrahams

He's got chance to be central striker or at least more game time.

Come on kodjia show us

He's frustrating but he's also not a wide man. He's a central striker and we saw just how effective he is at that when he came on recently vs Stoke and won the penalty then headed the equalizer.

He came on and played wide didn't he??

I think he's really unreliable at holding onto the ball to play centrally. He's especially unreliable away from home where he often goes missing

If Abraham departed the Kodjia of 2017 would have no problem whatsoever emulating the former's goal scoring record. The Kodjia of 2019 isn't capable of that in my opinion and it's through no fault of his own. Injuries have really taken their toll.

1 in 4 for a player whose spent a fair bit of time this season out wide or coming off the bench isn't bad.

I'm not saying it isn't but I just can't see him grabbing 16 goals in 22 games.

1 in 4 for a player whose spent a fair bit of time this season out wide or coming off the bench isn't bad.

Half his starts have been out wide and a third of his appearances have been from the bench. Given that it's better to use goals per minute which is 1 every 240ish, or 1 every 2 1/2 games. That's not as good as Tammy (1 every 107 minutes) but it's not a terrible record either and if he was playing centrally as the main striker you'd expect it to improve.

If Tammy were to leave I can see Kodjia getting 7-8 in the 20 games we have left. If we have goals from other sources as well that would be enough.

Going on this - injury free - season he's got 6 goals and 2 assists from wide, with a goal every 250 mins. So a bit better than 1 in 3.

I think that's decent

3 assists if you count the cup game.

I don't think 1 in 2 would be a huge stretch from where he is if he was playing central and I doubt anyone would be unhappy with that.

With Kodjia, I don't think the lack of goal threat is an issue

It's the all round game and sheer, maddening frustration of seeing him so consistently take the wrong option
