I hope he scores a decisive goal in injury time one day, just so they can run with 'De Laet Late show' headlines.

Welcome Ritchie. A very Cunning(ham) signing that will hopefully help to usher in Happy Days.

Is it just me or did this kind of come out of nowhere? I mean, we've been linked to him for loan all summer, but I didn't seem to see much about a permanent move, especially in the past few days.

Between him, Chester and Gollini we've got a right little Man Utd youth team reunion happening.

*Ritchie (Let's start as we mean to go on- we don't want another Clarke/Guzman/Kovac etc)

Welcome and good luck - hopefully you will win your second Premier League title with us!

Is that how he spells his name. Well, doesn't that just take the biscuit

He used to be with United but now he's welcome to our Club. I think we should go with three at the back- see how he gets on as part of a Trio.
I'd like to see him team up with Lewis Dunk

Oh go on then.....With his pace he will be an asset on Breakaways.

Please, please not a biscuit punathon - I think the site servers may actually explode!

Anyway, glad you've left the foxes for us, Welcome to the club Richie!

Welcome Ritchie.
Any chance of a moderator changing the title thread to the correct spelling please?
Just use the thread I created!!! Spelt correctly there!

"Just use the thread I created".  I thought it was a really nice moment when Freddie Mercury and Brian May performed that at Live Aid. As for our new signing I can't claim to know too much about him but I believe he did a good job for Leicester in the Championship. I like our managers 'horses for courses' attitude. We need good Championship level players to get us back up and if we do go up we will need to add Premier quality. I think the likes of Ron Saunders and Graham Taylor did the same thing.

With every additional signing the stench from last season dissipates. Of all the signings he seems to be the most short term, but I'm OK with that.

I know what you're all thinking.  "What is that watch he's wearing as he stretches the shirt so enthusiastically while looking all the time like Spud from Trainspotting?"  Well, wonder no more, it's a Rolex Daytona with a black dial, and steel and yellow gold bracelet.  A notch below Chester's Patek Philippe, if I'm honest.

Anyway, watch twattery aside, he looks to have exactly the sort of experience we're crying out for, and once Amavi is up to speed we now look to have a highly improved back four.

A sample of some of the comments from Foxes Talk about him, as I know absolutely nothing of him:

Quote
He exceeded my expectations and although not a top quality player, he definitely has quality for borderline Premier League football.

Quote
Was great for us in the Championship but frankly terrified me when he played in the Prem. Good luck RDL!

Quote
Good luck to Ritchie, a very good professional who had some great games at the club, including the 5-3 win over Man Utd (THAT ball to Vardy) and the 4-1 home win over Derby.

He will certainly do well I reckon, his pace is an asset getting up and down the line, good for overlaps. A move to the West Midlands in Aston Villa will be good for him.

Quote
Shocking positioning and defensive sense but more than enough pace to cover himself. Bit like Jeff really.

Easily good enough for a top six championship side, the right kind of signing for them.

Great signing for THEM? cheeky fucker

I know nothing about him, but on the basis that he can't be more of a red card waiting to happen, spending 90% of his time in exactly the wrong position than Hutton, welcome with open arms.
