Gutted for him but it's one of the few positions where we have adequate back up in Bacuna, Hutton and Richards.

I don't buy into a lot of this superstitious rubbish but surely the time has come for a Priest to get involved and exorcise the demons that possess Villa Park.

I had high hopes for Ritchie, what a wounder. At least we have Begbie ready to come in and cause mayhem down the right.

Begbie! Love it!

I don't get it, anyone care to explain to this old fart please?

We've brought Robert Carlyle in on an emergency loan.

If that's in answer to me, thank you but I'm still clueless on this

Begbie is the maniacal  Scottish character in Trainspotting. I actually think he more closely resembles Zlatan and it's not difficult to imagine Ibrahimovic starting a riot in a Glaswegian boozer after some poor lass gets glassed.

Anyway, to bring you up to date, principal photography has just been completed on the sequel to Trainspotting ahead of a Jan '17 release so there is ample time for you to make your own football-player comparisons to the characters in the original.

This from the OS...............................

Aston Villa Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of Ritchie De Laet.

The 27-year-old joins from Leicester City on a three-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

De Laet helped the Foxes win the Premier League last season and also played a part in Middlesbrough’s successful promotion from the Championship.

Manager Roberto Di Matteo said: “I’m pleased to have brought Ritchie to the Club.

“He is another player who not only has Championship experience but has also played a part in helping a team win promotion back to the Premier League.”
When did we sack Bruce to bring RDM back?

Don't worry, TLP. I also thought he was a new signing when the thread resurfaced. This singing completely passed me by.

So is he faking the injury to try to get a number one single?

TBF, I had forgotten about him until the other week when I was checking the FIFA17 thread and saw a video of the Villa players and his name was there.
