It could be Rotherham or anywhere, not Liverpool or Roma. But Huddersfield is anywhere, anywhere alone.

Bolton, Barnsley, Nelson, Colne, Burnley, Bradford, Buxton, Crewe, Warrington, Widnes, Wigan, Leeds, Northwich, Nantwich, Knutsford,
Hull, Sale, Salford, Southport, Leigh, Kirkby, Kearsley, Keighley, Maghull, Harrogate, Huddersfield, Oldham, Lancs, Grimsby, Glossop, Hebden Bridge

Alternatively..........

Leeds United, Leeds United
From Wakefield to the Ridings
To the ground at Elland Road

Villa need to strengthen during August, then RDM needs to find his best team. Given that these two happen, and I think they will, then I believe Villa can challenge for an automatic promotion place. I think Newcastle are favourites to be champions because they are ahead of us in terms of squad strength.

2nd - 4th place is my prediction.

At the moment I think Villa could finish anywhere between 10 and 2.  Can't really make a bold prediction until the window is shut.  If we don't lose too many of the better players and make say three strong sighings then I think we should be very much in the mix.  Otherwise think it will be a scrap for the play-offs at best.

Newcastle and Norwich will both go back up I think.  Then it will be one from us, Derby, Brighton etc...

Mid-table mediocrity with the current rabble. The early signings showed some promise but we need to make a few more additions if we want to challenge for the top 6.

Elphick seems the most promising of the signings so far.  The other two seem more for the future.  The lad from Reading is very underwhelming it seems.  Mid-table wouldn't surprise me, but likewise we could be in the shake up at the top also.  The one thing I'm confident of is that it will be play-offs at best.  Don't see us going up via the top two.

Mid table. Still have the losers and wankers with their mentality and attitude. An injection of experience, skill and power would push us in to the play off positions and more.

1) Derby
2) Norwich
3) Brighton
4) Sheffield Wednesday
5) Newcastle
6) Cardiff

We need a good striker desperately. If we rely on current players, I think mid table beckons. If we can get 3/4 good quality players in then a shot at the play offs will not be out of the question. Unlike a lot of other people, I don't think Newcastle will find it too easy either to make the automatic promotion spots.
