Re the Matty Taylor comment, I would give him a try - Jamie Vardy didn't too badly when Leicester took him.  Agree it is a risk though.

I liked the reference to our new owners acknowledging the tradition of heading down the M5!

Playing Boro rather than Barca is more useful at this point, I think you're right.

Your mention, Dave, of creativity (lack of) made me wonder about Adama Traore!

Has anyone heard what is the situation with hom?

As always Dave, a nicely written piece. As Desi has posted above, what is the deal with Adama? He seems to have been injured in some way or other since we signed him.

Nice if we get a decent crowd against Boro.

I once attended a pre-season friendly at Parkhead where Celtic attracted a crowd of 52,000 against Fulham ( mate is a Fulham fan). Doubt we'll get half that number, but we'll see.

I went to the pre-season friendly when we played Celtic up there. Cooper made is debut and Walters was playing. The Celtic fans were not friendly.

We had a great weekend in all honesty. Made all the better by a mate 'smuggling' a few grams of the good stuff on the flight up.

The area around Celtic Park was a real shock though. Run down and deprived doesn't really do it justice. Only comparable place I've seen in England is Salford.

I think Leicester were able to give him a year to find his feet whereas we've got to hit the ground running.

Ouch! The 'Premier League giants Middlesbrough' bit is depressing. Add Bournemouth, Burnley, Hull, Palace, Southampton, Stoke, Swansea etc hits home our current position/plight (and that's without naming who we'll shortly be lining up against).

Another great piece Mr Woodhall, summing our situation up very neatly.

Agree massively that the most obvious must for our team is a striker with some presence and nous....Gestede is not it!

I'd take Andy Lochhead, Sammy Morgan or Peter Withe without thinking about it!
If only....
