Have seen a few comments along the lines of  "hope we charge their fans the same when they come to Villa Park".  How does behaving like arseholes and punishing their fans make it any better?

Why would anybody even think about going to a championship match at those prices?

I'm not there, but if I was, the most I'd be paying to go to SW v AV would be about 25 quid.

Signed.  It really is the kind of thing the FA should be stepping in on.

Footie fans won't do it; but if we don't go to the game and boycott it - sends out the biggest message.

You wouldn't have to do it many times. I would be quiet happy for the club to say we don't want any tickets, stay at home and watch it on telly.

The problem for us - and I think they know they have us over a barrel here which makes it all the more annoying - is that this is our first Championship game.

They know Villa fans won't want to look like we've abandoned our team because we were relegated. They know we will want to turn up in numbers to show we're sticking with it.

They are totally taking the piss at a level that is well beyond 'Villa are a big draw' let's charge more.
all the more reason to boycott the ******. That price would stick in the craw at Chelsea or spurs, let alone Sheffield what day of the week is it again?

These aren't new prices for Wednesday. They were charging these prices last year. I think one or two clubs, including Derby, tried to organise boycott's last season, with limited success. The dearest in the division are these and Leeds. It's shit, but we were always going to be paying in the £40's for this, with their foreign owner intent on milking home and away fans alike.

A worthy carse so I signed gladly.  My statement was a bit rambling so I won't repeat it here but hope it helps :o

I'm glad to hear that others in the Championship are not following in their foot steps.

Not sure asking people to pay with the pertition is right though.  Where does the money go?
