£42.00 for away fans is ridiculous!! It is worth noting that Sheffield Wednesday are fleecing their own fans also. I checked their website this morning thinking a home ticket might be cheaper. They're charging £42.00 for their spion cop, £45.00 for their north stand and £49.00 for their south stand. I'd love to go but I'm not sure now. UTV VTID

There is absolutely no way I will pay £42 to watch Villa away in the championship (it is also on Sky as well)!
Until people boycott these games nothing will happen and clubs will continue to charge exorbitant prices!

We'll still sell out, so as long as that happens they'll continue fleecing fans.

I was really looking forward to going back to Hillsborough. As it is the decision is out of my hands because we are away but I wouldn't be going at that price on a Sunday.

Stay away, nothing else will work.

effectively forcing fans to pay more for an inferior product.

I find it very hard to imagine we'll witness anything this year as bad as we did last year.

Well, I am in the away scheme for 3 tickets. It is appalling and I am sure most wednesday fans agree, I would be suitable upset if we did it to other clubs.

I will just return the tickets as one of the 5, I can miss and watch on TV.
It's a shame and I am fortunate that I could afford to go but out of principle will not pay it and hope others would do the same

Do you think it'll be any different for any of the other away games though?  We'll be the highest category for every single team this year so whilst they might not all be quite £42 they're all going to be expensive.

Sheff Weds was an away game I really wanted to do, but £42? I think i'll swerve it just on principle. Not only screwing us but their own fans as well.

What annoys me is that we are a Category 1 game. Leeds fans two weeks later occupying the same run down shed of a stand watching the same donkeys in blue and white, yet they're Category 2 and pay less. Same shit product, same shit stand, probably double the police, cheaper tickets.

You're right though PWS, we're all principle now, but when we're jonesing like a smack head for a football fix, we will fill out that upper tier and the rich Wednesday twat will say I told you so.

That's not too bad. I'm sure I paid £46 for a "Gold" ticket at Loftus Road the other season.

Same here!

According to a Sheffield Wednesday fan at work, they're talking about boycotting the game.

According to the Sheffield Wednesday forum it's fine because we're the richest fans in the country.

Wish someone would tell my bank.
