Sounds like a modern day Sean Teale.

Would not the most exciting of signings maybe, but then again it's a sensible signing if it happens.  Knows the Championship and has leadership skills.

Would be a positive and very solid acquisition if we pull it off.

He likes Grealish:

And in a way he's right for a player with a lot to prove. What Jack needs is proper leaders around him so that he can unlock the potential we all know he has. Following the likes of Gabby and Richards hasn't helped him at all.

Don't know much about him.  3mill sounds a pretty good price.  Was thinking he might be a good ball player coming Bournemouth, but then maybe not if their calling him the next Teale ;)

Whatever we are buying him for, it isn't his ball skills. He is slow and immobile.  He is not the next Shaun Teale either.

It's easy enough to find examples. He got nowhere near Gestede for the goal on the opening day of last season and in the return game Ayew turned him inside out just by shuffling the ball to one side when he score out goal in the return game.

Probably why Bournemouth are selling him to us.  For the time being I will give him the benefit of the doubt and pray he works out for us.

Agree.  Would be a decent start.  Is he right footed or left footed though?

Leeds interested apparently. If we lose him to them it'll be a sickener.
I wouldn't be worried at all. We're now the big fish in this league so if we're in for a player then unless it's a premmove (and maybe Newcastle) to compete against,  then we should be firm favourites to obtain the signature

Some centre backs can be equally at home on the opposite side. There are a few teams that have two right footers.  It just depends if you are comfortable there and not totally one-footed.  We seem to have had a succession of CB's that are totally one-footed and look so out of place on the opposite side.

Could be a bit of negotiation tactics from his agent.

Stepping down from a bit part season for Bournemouth, captain or not he's hardly hot property or anything to get overly excited about one way or other.  If he comes I hope he does well, but I won't be pulling my hair out if he sees himself elsewhere.

No, but it sends the wrong signals if players still turn us down in favour of the likes of Leeds. I know nothing of him but for him to possibly come in so soon after the takeover is sanctioned means we've either scouted him before, or Clarke or A N other, have been doing their homework early.
