Will only have six months left on his deal in January, I think we'll move him off the books for a small fee if Hull want him full time.

Hull won't do that if that is the case.  They would just keep him on loan until the end of the season and sign him for free in the summer.  We might get interest from others in January though if he continues to do well there.

Are you actually reading my posts Paul?  I haven't said he's been appaling and I've said loaning him was daft.

You said people were pining for him, they're not and that's the sort of silly comment that starts arguments.

The first post i replied to was by someone else who said he was appalling. Again, the sort of comment that gets thrown around on here far too often.

We should have put a clause in his deal that he can't play against them.

To be fair, all three were a defensive shambles and Elphick was only responsible for one of them.

I don't think Elphick is as bad as is made out on here - but he does always have an absolute clanger in him, as today so aptly demonstrated.

For their second, he doesn't make much of a fist of not letting Adams get a shot away.

Hull saying there's a strong possibility he'll be recalled in January.

We need him back as we are short of strength in depth in defence. I also think he a decent player at Championship level.

We simply have to look after our own interests. We're also playing them in January so that will weaken them for that game.

Were one of the favourites for relegation and he's helped them to mid table so they shouldn't go down from this point.

They can still have him on free transfer end of season.

Surely that won't make any difference, as he'd be ineligible to play against us anyway?

In normal circumstances they might've signed him permanently on January 1st.

Quote from Adkins:

Quote
“From my point of view he’s done great for us and his form has probably alerted Aston Villa to the situation because he was out of there,” Adkins said.

“Now, all of a sudden, there’s a player in form in the Championship that they might have to recall.

“We’re not saying that is going to happen but there’s a strong possibility it could happen. If it does, we’ll just have to address it.”

Didn't he score v Hull first game season ?!

I'm not saying he's great, far from it, but it was fool hard to loan him out it unbalanced the squad.

Bruce and coaching staff  should have had an  acknowledgement of defence situation. The French defender Harold Moukoudi and McKenna Aberdeen was all too last ditch.

I don't think now with the sporting director in charge such errors will be made .
Plus Smith is clued up on squad and balance be a team !
