It just seems a strange time to get rid of him when we finally looked like the squad is capable of sustaining a promotion push. He looked good when he replaced Terry but now we’ve got to hope this new kid is the real deal.

But what if he didn't want to be here as he wasn't getting game time? Instead we sign someone who is desperately keen and by all accounts seems to be regarded as being pretty bloody good.

He probably did want to get away but we should have put our foot down and told him they’d be no departures till the season ended. Maybe the football fair play thing has something to do with it.

Samba before elphick now I now I must be going daft

That's not the way to look at it. Elphick has a career left in front of him. He wants to play. For Samba, this is it. Once this contract ends he's probably just going to hang it up. Elphick, while he appreciates being brought back in always knew once Terry came back he'd be on the outside looking in. This makes sense. To me this is no different to De Laet. Both just want game time.

Tuanzebe and Jedinak can play centre back.

I would rather not see Jedi play there again.

Jedi may well be finished too, we can't keep him fit and he's certainly no centre half.

Jedinak can't play centre back.  He is worse than Mica Richards in that position and he is as bad as it gets.

Absolutely and who can blame them.  In a way, I am glad to see there are still players out there who want to play regularly and are not just content to sit around and collect their money like Richards and Agbonlahor.

And it looked like a bad injury. Being selfish, who pays his wages?!

As JT has left would have liked to see him stay after his loan from reading.

However, Tommy Elphick is close to joining Reading.

"it s understood Reading are now ready to take up the option of signing Elphick permanently."

Looks like we can raise 10m from player sales. Another 10m from the loans finishing.
