Only went there once and that was for a friendly.

There's a rock pub called something like 'The Pendulum' which I quite liked.

Was at that game - Clough was applauding our support as we cheered each goal that it went in. We had a tame effort at goal and we booed. In fact we all sang "Cloughie, Cloughie give us a wave" and he did

Come to think of it even when the 6th went in our fans were terrific

As for getting there we were always held at station then herded like cattle to the ground - never a chance to break ranks and find a pub in them days

I was at that one too. Graham Turner's last game I think.

Also went to Forest the year West Ham had to win there and then Liverpool to send us down. Forest had a great home record and we stood with their fans behind the goal. West Ham won 2-1 and we had to go to Anfield for the last game.

Stood on the Kop near the back and it was soon known 2 Villa fans were there. It was a good night, they won 5-1, we stayed up and everyone was happy.

Pit and Pendulum, decent bar in the City Centre. There are a lot of decent bars in Nottingham.

Sounds great! Would like to go now just to visit that bar!

A word of caution, you may struggle to find the cunningly hidden toilet in there :-)

One of the longer walks from the special.  They used to lock you up in the compound on the station before walking  you to the ground.  Never enjoyed driving there either as  it is a jog from the motorway.
We were locked in the compound & not let out to the game but sent straight back to Brum one year , maybe been 89/90.

I was there that day, bloody hot as well.

The Police would let anyone out of the compound, even those that had tickets for the game.
