Pre-Season Friendlies
« on: May 12, 2016, 03:09:39 PM »
Any news about these yet?

I assume we don't have to play Walsall if we end up in the same division as them?

As ever, I want new grounds, on a Saturday. Don't play all the vaguely interesting trips midweek this year, pretty please Villa.

I assume that will be a "Villa XI" side.

The last time we played there in July 2002 I sponsored the match ball, had my name on the front of the programme, and sat next to Sid in the directors' box. It was a 'Villa XI', including Hitzlsperger, and Shropshire lad Boaz Myhill in goal for us.

Nah, more likely a Telford XI. They can afford to put out a weakened side

Depressing that we can now play some Premier League teams in friendlies.

We'll end up playing Leicester and it'll be advertised as the chance to see us test ourselves against the League Champions.

I feel sick.

A pre-season tour to the Valencia/Alicante region would be nice.

I jet time off in July and August. The lioness wouldn't be too happy, but she will get over it.

Someone said to me earlier that were not going on tour?

Can anyone confirm or deny?
