What an interesting find.
I concuur with most on here but Stumpy McLeod and Big Tone's group I have no idea who they are, don't think it's John Griffiths.
Players only:
Gavan Withers
Bradley Wright
Lee Aitken Briggs
McEwan Tindall Parker
? Slogger Chatterley
Poutney Deakin ?
Roberts Baker Rudge
Inglis Park ?
? Hateley ?
Stobart Woosnam Martin
? McLeod ?

Dick Taylor was manager and Baxter and Dixon are in his group, the board must go are all on the left....

Thanks Bernie, sorted - I see Mike Tindall is on there - I used to sort of know him when I lived in Bromsgrove in the 1990s - anyone else on h&v that was down there at that time ? - PWS - I know you've said you lived there.

Dave Pountney is away at the moment but should be back at his sports shop Saturday. I have spoken to his manager and he says Dave has a very good memory
even at 75. I will pop in Saturday morning and see what he can recall.

Great pictures which i had never seen before. I use to watch the reserves every  other week and i think John Martin could be on there as he along with Lionel were regulars in the reserves.Must admit i had forgotten Graham Parker and Ray Bloomfield ,i saw them both make their debuts As fot the second picture,i can remember Stan Horne and Greg Fellows but i can not recall Dennis Baker at all

This is so good - would love a print of that photo.
You can download it off the Alamy website for £9.99 (personal use).
There's a great aerial shot on there from 1968 taken from behind the Witton End showing the bank I used to round down after games as a kid. Might drop a few hints for Fathers Day.

What a brilliant photograph!
I can name most of the players but not all, and some are very familiar but the names had gone 'til I read a few of the comments on here.
Not the best of times but I'd started going down about 61/62, then we moved and I started going again in 64, so most of this lot, especially Withers, Wright, Sleeuwenhoek, Chatterely, Aitken, Bradley, Tindall, Park, Deakin, Lee, Poutney, Woosnam, Rudge, McEwan, McLeod, Stobart, Martin, and of course, Tony Hateley, were my early Villa heroes.
Somewhat reassuring to be able to recognise so many and to be reminded of the others by you lot!
I once had a hand-written letter from Dick Taylor in response to my plea that Colin Withers be picked by Ramsey for England...much better than that Banks bloke!!!
Oh to be a totally innocent, non-cynical 11 year old again!
