I've just read that former Villa chairman Harry has died at the age of 102.

Sad news indeed. Another link to our title and European Cup winning era gone.

He featured in a TV programme about older drivers about a year ago, he was still driving at 100.

What a fantastic age. RIP

RIP Harry.  I met him many times as the company I worked for did business with him and he was often in the place.  Always happy to talk Villa and never gave away any 'trade secrets' but you always felt that you had been let ITK.  A charming, gentleman.  Thanks for your contribution Harry.

I remember reading something about Doug telling everyone in the match day hospitality suite (old trinity road stand) that the salmon they were eating he had caught the day before.Harry Kartz piped up that he was too modest to tell everyone he had caught the lamb !
