Apart from for Leeds. No one has away support as good as Leeds. According to them.

Or Small Heath. Provided it's at Wembley.

Interesting. That could be fun, to see our away support actually rise a bit.

Not a fan of all the backslapping that seems to be going on on most clubs twitter feeds over this. As if the clubs were hamstrung by the PL, rather than if they'd had the appetite they could have done it individually years ago.

Surely it's now only a matter of time before the Championship follow suit? Ideally with a lower cap of £20.

That would be nice but unlikely. The Championship clubs who've never been in the PL already think it's an uneven playing field due to the parachute payments.  They will want to still be able to charge what they want.

On a slight tangent, I was looking at the Championship table the other day (I can't remember why. Probably acclimatising) and counted only 6 teams in the whole division who've never been in the PL.

I don't know why I'm drawing a distinction between the PL and the top flight. I guess I'm one of those dicks now.

The took 930 to Cardiff last night. Leeds would have taken more*.

(*not sure if anybody else is familiar with this running interweb gag).

Typical!

And here's me been telling my smug 'The Mighty Reds YNWA', Bitters and Everton supporting "friends" that I'll be paying less for away games in the Championship next season!

It's a conspiracy isn't it?
It's got to be!
FFS!

I don't think this goes far enough.

Maybe they should go for maximum £30 for home tickets, maximum £20 for away tickets. It's not like they won't be able to afford it.

Hopefully free of Randy Lerner and his questionable appointments but sadly for us the damage is already done.

The £30 away ticket is good news but when you consider the complete and utter shite we have been watching now for at least four seasons (home and away) it really is unfortunate that our team is so totally unsuitable for the Premiership that we will not have the opportunity to benefit from this reduction.

Given that Premier League grounds rarely have more than 3,000 away seats and the Championship has more empty spaces than you can count, we could end up next season as the best-supported away team in the country.

We're not the only big club going down!

We will also need to win some matches; if the same sort of performances were to carry on to next season as we have just been witnessing then the novelty of the new ground will soon wear off.

We need to win some at home or it will be empty seats M'lord for sure
The Villa away following has never cared about the on-field performance when considering whether to go...

Last time this came up, didn't certain clubs threaten also threaten to reduce the number of away tickets sold? especially those with season-ticket waiting lists?

I didn't even know about the campaign on prices.
I thought Twenty is Plenty was something particular to us and how many points we get this season.
