Maybe the most depressing article you've ever written.

Exactly what I was thinking.

Me too. For the first time ever I sat there wondering what to write. We might criticise the mainstream reporters but how they can come up with different angles every day is beyond me.

Absolutely, It would drive me insane trying each week to put a different variation on how terrible we are.

'Contempt' as you so accurately put it, is the word that best describes how I feel about the whole lot of them now.

Oddly enough, as I left the ground last night I wondered how you might achieve a another spin on the same old story. Having accepted the inevitable some time ago, I've also started to get angry about the situation which I didn't expect I would for some reason. My grief curve is all out of whack.

And as for the players, if they can’t, or more likely won’t, do the basics, regardless of what they think about manager, owner and each other then they don’t deserve our support. They deserve our contempt.

I agree 100% with that. Man City and then Spurs to come. Relegated in April i suspect.

Your best and bleakest article so far IMHO.

Absolutely spot on.

That's happened to me, I've spent the last few weeks just feeling 'meh' about it, but last night my anger surfaced again.

With regard contemptible footballers I have had to stop looking at the club website. I'm agitated by the player interviews. Not effing interested in your pointless jibber jabber lads.
