By one of those weird quirks of fate, I met George for the first time on Thursday at the Kings Oak pub in Kings Norton. Of all things, it was at a funeral wake. We had a chat about the Villa - well more of a laugh really. Me and my wife both commented on what a nice bloke he seemed. As we left he came over and shook our hands, wished us all the best and I think we had another laugh about the Villa. My mate rang me about 4 o'clock today to say he had passed away.

That's heartbreaking.

Condolences to his loved ones.
