Ayew, Amavi, Veretout as starters. Traore as potential.

If we do manage the impossible then certainly Veretout and Ayew. If Grealish can react in the right way then he is still a key player for us. He's not working hard enough on the pitch by any stretch. He will have to put more of a shift in. He can look at players at Arsenal or City etc doing all the pretty stuff and want to emulate it but if you take a Sanchez, Cazorla, Silva etc, for all their technical ability there's also an end product (which Jack needs to improve) but more importantly they all work very hard, particularly those Arsenal lads. If he follows the example set by Gil today (who worked his nards off) he'll be fine.
Speaking of which, Gil could still be a key player for us.

If we go down I think we'll be building a whole new team and the above will probably all be gone.

All of our Jordans have worked. We should scout France for some more.

And if Lyden is good, Australia too.

And if we don't, still those two.

Basically, all the ones Tiger Tim refused to pick.

Our defence is much better with Okore in it even if Lescott was the better of the two.

I think he'll stay aswell given his injuries.

Ayew would run rings round some of the Championship defences. Get some more in like him, the lads attitude is gold.

Yes. There is a certain correlation. Lost on his media mates though.

Spot on. Keep the best players and build the side to come back.

I'd hope we keep them. This is where some assurances from that fella who apparently owns us might be nice. Can't recall his name. Randolph Shunammite??? Something like that.

Gil, Veretout, Ayew, Okore, Amavi, Traore, first team. Sissokho, Bunn, Grealish and Bacuna as squad players. Bring in two or three beasts to play alongside them. Would like to see Gueye kick on now too.

Ayew is everything we needed Gabby to be over the last few years. Not only is he an excellent, intelligent player, but he works as hard as anyone we have seen down Villa Park for years. Unfortunately, he will start to get more and more noticed, as proven by the fact that Pardew singled him out as the best player on the pitch today. If/when the inevitable happens, he will have no shortage of clubs like Palace queuing up for his services should he retain this form, sadly.
