Has anyone else been unfollowed by the official AV Twitter page or just me?

Loads have apparently.  Shows what they think of their paying customers.

They unfollowed me and tbf I can't blame them, considering my recent tweets to them. I say recent I mean the last three years worth.

How the fuck do you unfollow 47,000 fans in a few hours, that takes some clicking.

It's why Tom Fox is too busy to check his emails

Seems a logical thing to do, would have thought following players, ex players etc will mean they will see relevant things to re-tweet to all the people who follow them...something that is optional to anyone with Twitter.

Sure some of our more thin skinned fans will wail that it's a symptom of the crap management of our club blah blah blah....

I'm chuckling at the vision of a young work experience person sat there clicking manically 'unfollow' :-)

They didn't unfollow me.

They never followed me back in the first place.

Agree to an extent as every poor thing that AVFC seem to do is tarred with that brush (possibly legitimately in a lot of cases) but I did go into the club shop to get my 5 year old daughter and 1 year old son some Villa guff for Xmas, in my small attempt to try and push my kids into supporting a Championship club, and the level of service was deplorable. The way we were spoke to and looked at by the young lady behind the counter was akin to something I would expect in 99p Stores. It did make me naturally think, "how far have we sunk, synonymous of the club etc etc etc......."

Small things add up and all that.

And as for the original post I actually think it is a very wise idea and indicates we may have a new head of communications/media in place which can only be a good thing.

I don't really care that they've done it but I'm not sure how having a Head of Communications/Media who orders the unfollowing of 47000 people with no explanation can be a good thing?

I only started following them on Sunday. Today all they've tweeted today is pictures of Ian Taylor visiting random fans, along with weirdly inaccurate captions. 'Bill Winnit was thrilled and excited to get a visit from Ian Taylor!'
