Why would you be banned? What a ridiculous comment to make.

I'm sure I remember threads being locked as 'too early' in the past, but I might be mistaken.
Anyway, no need to flame me for an innocuous sentence.

You weren't 'flamed' at all. As I pointed out, the site rules make it clear about posting guff like "I'll probably be banned".

I think now is the right time to go for Jermaine Beckford.

Only if Benni McCarthy isn't available

I've heard that Benni and Steve Bull are due to be unveiled at a joint press conference. You know, like those joint press conferences that always happen.

Think it will be hard to get a decent striker in, Charlie Austin will no doubt be linked. Struggling to see we would be able to get with premier league experience, Shane Long?

Perhaps reunite Gestede with Jordan Rhodes although for a guy who has scored so many goals in the championship I do wonder why no one has taken a punt on him before.

Can't think of many options?

Somehow, I don't think we'll be looking at the usual suspects.

True, I'm sure Remi will have a few players in mind from his days in France. I can see Benteke eek "who the fuck is he" kind of signing that will go on to do well for little money spent.

Probably a total dream but I like Giroud at arsenal, although I can't imagine us actually getting anyone of that calibre just yet

I hope Remi have talked to Paddy and tell him to scout striker X, Y, Z at Club A, B, C to find new Benteke. We need a goalkeeper, right back and a striker. A playmaker who is excellent at set pieces would be nice, So maybe we should find a right footed version of Andrea Brehme or Steve Staunton or Roberto Carlos who can score from corners and set pieces and play at Right back.

A couple of posts have been for a new keeper (understandably). I would just like to see Brad get his confidence back and play like he did in Lambert's first season where some of his saves arguably kept us up.

Take a look at who's doing well in Ligue 1 now.  Enough time to scout & bid for in early January,

A loan might be a good idea... seeing as a top quality striker may not want to commit to a club who have a very real chance of relegation.
