New Broom
« on: November 02, 2015, 04:02:21 PM »
New start for some or are they still considered not good enough

Richards
Okore
Clark
Amavi
Crespo
Bacuna
Ilori (sp)
Grealish
Gil
Veretout
Sanchez
Gana
Gestede
Ayew
Sinclair
Traore
Kozak

Surely we can make a team out of that lot that is better than Sunderland, Norwich, Bournemouth, WBA, Newcastle and Watford

Although I would make Goalkeeper first purchase in January

New start for all, you can't rule anyone out, maybe not even NZog now.

I'd be interested to know what the fans of the teams mentioned would make of our squad. Obviously a large majority of us think we have better players than a few of the other teams in trouble but I wouldn't be surprised if most of their supporters have us in the same boat as Sunderland.

Spot on, especially considering many were saying 'who?', after many of oit signings.

The problem with this list is that only three of them have any real PL experience - the rest are frankly, unknown at this level. Thats not IMO a great position to be in when you are bottom of the table and have a fight on your hands. There really isn't any 'steel' in there at all. We have to hope that Remi can figure out how to garnish a winning mentality from these chess pieces regardless

New broom?   We've already had 17 new heads and 14 new handles.

I've just seen that Remi Garde managed Aly Cissokho at Lyon so it will be interesting if he reappears at the end of the season.

lets hope not

playing out from the back is a struggle when we have the likes of Guzan, Hutton, Lescott back there and Gueye turning his back on our centre backs when we have the ball.

No new start for Okore and Adama - pathetic! The club is a joke.

Two things I like to see more of or improved:

Technique
Footballing brains

We are so dumb as a team.  We look lobotomised.  Players standing still making sure they're marked out the game, defenders passing square over and over inviting pressure and mistakes, "skill" players thinking they can literally dribble through players, one player - Gil - who looks like he is capable of scoring from outside the box ....

we need to learn to work as a team and use the ball well and defend together and fight for the cause. Plus improved fitness and workrate.
