Nice one Tom.
« on: November 01, 2015, 11:09:15 AM »
Amidst all that's going on at Villa Park Tom Fox has taken the time to write to a lad who's dad has been diagnosed with an incurable blood cancer. It's stories like this that make me proud of our club.    Tom's Letter.

That's something consistent about Randy's era at Villa, we've always appeared to be honourable and human, despite whatever was happening on the pitch. Credit where it's due, Tom Fox. Up the Villa.

Yes, we've almost always done that bit very well which rather reinforces the notion that Randy is probably a very nice guy with some very laudable values. It's the 'being a bit nasty in the right sorts of ways' that we don't seem able to do, not that it pertains to this in any shape or form obviously.

This is what people mean when they say the club does most things right off the pitch, it's why it's so frustrating that we just can't get it right where it matters.  It's very easy to be proud of the club over things like this.

True that. For all Randy & the clubs football faults they have consistently been decent human beings.

Great stuff but I think most Clubs would react in the same way. Well done all concerned.
