When I lived in Bartley Green there were plenty of Villa there, and in Northfield, Weoley Castle etc. It's a total myth that they dominate the south of Brum.

Yep they definitely had a sliver of the Agbonlabor End, as the doors were kicked through at half time. They were upstairs too, as they were chucking their giro money down.

I hope we nail wooden boards across the entrance to all the toilets and close all the refreshment stands as they did to us.

I don't.

I hope we act with grace and good intentions to them, as fellow lovers of football. I wouldn't want us to ever sink to their shitty fucking level.

The away side is entitled to 10% of capacity in the LC, so with their small ground we probably got more than the minimum. Our allocation was cut for the league game later that season because of the problems at the cup game.

Isn't the percentage capacity rule always subject to police approval, though?

When did toilet smashing become all the rage? Was it a case that the toilets were so bad in the 70s and 80s that there wasn't much point biffing them in?

Police can lower it of course. Barring that though you have to give the away side 10%, obviously in the LC a lot of times the away side don't take that many any way.

I remember in the 1980s I'd wait till the point at which my bladder was starting to rupture rather than go to the bogs in a football ground.

I didn't see this so much at Villa Park, but in the late 80s used to attend matches on the Gallowgate End at Newcastle quite often, and there you'd hear "stand back, stand back" (actually logistically incorrect advice) during the match and some bloke behind you would just be pissing where he stood.

I don't think that's genetically possible for us to be as bad as the Sherlock Street boys, but I do hope it's the most excruciatingly unpleasant experience for any Sty Dweller who visits B6.

I imagine that will consist of a really bumpy coach journey and a right hammering on the pitch for them.

Makes twats look hard while their equally hard mates film it. They can then tell all the internet hooligans how they "dun da ground ova".

Ha! Crikey, what's wrong with the Scots? Actually that's quite like scumbags at concerts who piss in bottles and then lob them forwards.

I recall a trip to Ninian in the mid-00s and the gents was an empty room with a channel cut out for three quarters of it and nothing else.

My Dad is a nose. The night before the 77 LC final all my mates had tickets, but I didn't. My dad went into town, toured the pubs looking for tickets and managed to secure us a couple.

We drove down to Wembley, got in the ground, realised we were in the Everton end. My dad kept telling me to shut the fuck up and put my scarf away (would do neither). We started getting stick from the scousers, one of whom threw a bottle of piss at us, which basically drenched my dad and his brand new sheepskinish 1970s coat.

It stank so much he had to bin it. The poor fucker. I'd never be that nice to my son.

Most of the Lulus are of an age now that the only place they'll be pissing is in their colostomy bags.
