Party like its 2007

http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11065/3012298/villa-hunt-crespo

Next up..... Benni McCarthy

Doesn't this just show agent has links with villa and confirms not a Tim Sherwood signing. The player has been relegated from Spain tells agent to look for a club he asks villa..

This is how some deals work. Rather club actively seeking particular player an agent or party touts player out. Of course winner crespo may have been highlighted as one.. Good luck to him and I hope he can help out Gil and Sanchez as amigos .

Having crespo and Gill adds the spainish flair and at least indicates Gil is staying and being helped by this signing . Welcome angel!!

One good thing here, the bloke knows what a proper beard is meant to look like. None of this stupid Tim Howard style hipster fanciness.

Covers all defensive positions

Hutton
Bacuna
Amavi
Richards
Crespo

That's enough full backs, so hopefully Bennett will be sold now.

Ugh and Cissokho, forgot we had him, crap too. If we could get Bennett, Cissokho and Nzogbia off the books this summer it would be great.

I think Richards is going to be CB and I don't like Bacuna full back, prefer him midfield. If this guy is RB I would have him and Hutton competing there and Amavi and Cissokho competing left back. I would give Cissokho another season, especially if he's only cover. I'd sell Bennett.

Name me one game where bacuna has played well in midfield.

He is 6ft apparently.Squad player cheap and cheerful. Much rather hear we have an interest in Cambiasso.

We've all been moaning that the squad is very light at the moment, though.

We should at least be encouraged we're starting to fill the gaps. It doesn't necessarily mean we won't fill the major holes, too.

Reading on twitter, it seems like he'll be a squad player and  can cover most positions in the back 4.

Good, I think a defender utility player would be very useful to us considering the injuries and loss of form our defenders have been suffering in recent years. He's obviously experienced too, hopefully he'll be more like Cuellar ability wise than
the left back we recently sold (can't even remember his name!).

I'm sure he'll be a useful squad player.

But is he really better than senderos, Richardson or cissokho. We've got quantity already.

But, but, he's not French!

Non, merci.

Well no, but he does own a hat, and can sometimes be seen wearing it a jaunty angle.

If he grew his hair a little longer he could do a passable impression of Dennis Mortimer!

I guess we'll find out, unless you know better and can enlighten us all?

So did Luna, and he was shite. And Spanish.

Therefore, we shouldn't sign this bloke.
