Not precisely Villa but Stan Petrov takes a midlands XI to Boldmere St Michaels to take on a non league XI led by Tom Stevenson, the Boldmere captain who is battling Motor Nurone disease.

Lots of Villa old players on board, £7 quid in, all proceeds to chariddee.

this isn't a proper game and we'll use close to every player in the squad. It means nothing at all and it is gauge of fitness and implementing new ideas and concepts. It will be interesting to see what positions players play for example. Over the course of the summer of the existing squad will be curious to see how Kozak, Gil, Gardner, Donacien and Robinson do. It would be great to see one or two of these lads come in or come back in and make an impact.
